Children’s Safeguarding Team
Meet our Safeguarding Team members for this year. The team are Year 5 and Year 6 pupils who will be delivering assemblies and classroom workshops on a wide range of safety topics during the school year. They will be working closely with Mrs Smith and Mrs Robinson to ensure that all Apley pupils have a brilliant understanding about how to stay safe themselves and keep others safe.
Please find below our Anti Bullying booklets for each year group:
The school takes seriously its duties to assist parents and help them with on line safeguarding resources. As such we would like to make you aware of the web page Parent Info, which is a comprehensive, free resource for schools and parents covering a range of safeguarding topics and information about apps and when they are updated etc. The content is updated by CEOP (Child Exploitation & Online Protection Centre) and can be found at http://parentinfo.org/

Whilst we would prefer parents not to use their mobile phones whilst at school, we recognise that this would be impossible to regulate and that many parents see their phones as an essential means of communication at all times. We therefore ask that parents’ usage of mobile phones whilst on the school site is courteous and appropriate to the school environment. We enjoy inviting our parents and carers into school to take part in events such as workshops, parent lunches and class visits but please can we remind you that we take safeguarding very seriously and the use of mobiles and the taking of photographs during these times is strictly forbidden.
We allow parents to photograph or video school events such as shows or sports day using their mobile phones – but insist that parents do not publish images(e.g. on social networking sites) that include any children other than their own.
Anyone who is found using a mobile phone or taking photographs in a way that contravenes this policy may have their parental license to enter school revoked.
